The Silk Road, as a channel for the fusion, communication and dialogues between East and West, has made significant contribution to the common prosperity of humankind for nearly 2,000 years. Civilization exchanges and mutual learning are important force to boost civilization progress and world development. Silk Road cultural heritage is a critical tangible proof for civilization exchanges and inter-cultural communication. In recent years, with the successful inscription of “Silk Roads: the Routes Network of Chang'an-Tianshan Corridor” on World Cultural Heritage through the joint nomination by China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and the increase of multidisciplinary research, we have seen brilliant scientific research achievements on the preservation of Silk Road Cultural Heritage.

The ancient road still exists, and we study it and learn new knowledge. With the time span from the 5th century B.C. to the 8th century A.D., the space range of “Silk Roads: the Routes Network of Chang'an-Tianshan Corridor”, the history as the clue, the sites as the units, the cultural relicsas the exhibits, the exhibition presents the sci-tech achievements of Silk Road Cultural Heritage, embodies and promotes the role of modern sci-tech in the preservation of Silk Road Cultural Heritage.
