On May 18^th, 2017, a celebration of the forty-first International Museum day, is held at Beijing, China.

It is worth mentioning that, International Museums Association of the Silk Roads is built up, jointly launched by Community of Chinese Museums along the Silk Road of China, International Association for the Study of Silk Roads Textiles, and Museums with Friendly Alliance along the Silk Road.

Dr. Zhao Feng, director of National Silk Museum, China and chairman of International Association for the Study of Silk Roads Textiles, has signed on the initiative paper in the morning, with E Jun, director of Gansu Provincial Museum, Wang Bin,director of West Market Museum, director Mohamed of Pakistan Museum of Natural History, director Mabula of National Museum of Tanzania, and deputy director of Central State Museum of Kazakhstan.

In the afternoon, "International Cooperation among Museums under the Belt and the Road" seminar is held at the Capital Museum, Beijing. Dr. Zhao Feng, makes a keynote speech entitled "from the Silk Roads to the World of Silks", expounding the history of silks from the Silk Road, NSM’s works, and cooperation prospects in the field of culturalrelics of the Silk Road.
