The first results of the silk restoration of Sanxingdui Ruins by CNSM was broadcast on CCTV-13

On Sept. 11, the CCTV-13 broadcast a live stream of artifacts unearthed at Sanxingdui Ruins, where the first results of the silk restoration were announced.


The study used archaeological evidence to fill in the gaps in Sichuan Basin's silk history, pushing it back more than 3,000 years, an/d the discovery of different varieties in the silk meant that the Sanxingdui Ruins matched the Yin ruins, as well as the unity of Central Plain civilization. In the archaeological work at Sanxingdui Ruins, China National Silk Museum has always been guided by the idea of "the whole chain," from archaeological investigation to analysis an/d inspection, an/d then to technological restoration, an/d has made every effort to complete the restoration of silk in Sanxingdui Ruins.
